Austin Diner's Changos - OMG they are TDF

An example of a breaking news intro graphic

The reason for this post, and possibly my new reason for living is the Chango, one of Austin Diner’s dessert options. I realize that it’s Thanksgiving and I should be talking about turkey and dressing and pie, but this Chango is breaking news worthy of interrupting our regular programming.

Located on the cool part of Burnet Road, the Austin Diner is mostly known for serving up a great breakfast which is offered all day. The lunch and dinner options include your typical diner fare, chicken fried steak, hamburgers, meatloaf, etc. They also have daily specials like pot roast and chicken and dumplings. They proudly announce on their website that they’re now open late nights, as in 9:00 pm.

Let’s dig in to these Changos a bit. Imagine combining all of your favorite things and turning them into a dessert. Do you love cheesecake? Check. Bananas? Check. Fried pastry? Check. Ice cream, chocolate syrup and love? Checkity check check!

If you simply must have a full-on meal, you won’t be disappointed with the chicken fried steak or an omelet as big as your arm. But I implore you to save room for the Changos, or better yet, order dessert first. Don’t just talk about it, do it. You’ll thank me later.
